PURPOSE:To disperse homogeneously a metal salt in a thermoplastic resin, by adding a hydrated metal salt whose m.p. is lowered to a temp. not higher than the processing temp. of a thermoplastic resin by hydration to the thermoplastic resin molten by heating, and mixing the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A metal salt whose m.p. is lowered to a temp. not higher than the processing temp. of a thermoplastic resin described below by hydration is added to said thermoplastic resin molten by heating, and mixed. Any of metal salts whose m.p. in the hydrated form is lowered to a temp. not higher than the processing temp. of the thermoplastic resin may be used. Examples of the metal salts are lithium nitrate, calcium nitrate, zinc nitrate, lithium acetate, stannous chloride and magnesium sulfate. As the thermoplastic resin, polyolefin resins and polyvinyl chloride resin are preferred because of their easy handling. |
