PURPOSE:To surely connect a nozzle with a device of the smaller capacity than the capacity of a vessel for receiving a molten steel without decreasing the sealing pressure thereof by exerting rigid mechanical force by the elastic force of an elastic body to an arm integrally formed with a hanger for holding the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An energizing plate 6 ascends until said plate contacts with the bottom surface of a bracket 2 and compresses a coil spring 20 while an immersion nozzle C is held mounted by moving a screw rod 5 upward to the max. extent. The elastic force of the spring 20 loads the downward reaction to the plate 6. The axial line of the rod 5 supporting the plate 6 in the axial line direction is positioned on the perpendicular plane together with the axis of the nozzle C to be connected thereto and is disposed to have an inter-axis distance; therefore, downward reaction of the spring 20 is acted upward to the nozzle C in the clockwise direction. The nozzle C is eventually energized upward and the reaction of the spring 20 is made convertible to the sealing pressure of a lower fixing plate 55. The nozzle C is thus securely connected. |
