The tamper-indicating closure cap (30) is provided for containers with a flange-like opening region intended for the cap to engage behind it. It has a tamper-indicating closure strip (33) which is connected to the cap part (31) in a tear-off manner. This closure cap (30) is provided for the purpose of being fitted on to the filled container in its closure position. This prevents access into the interior of the container without at least partial separation of the cap part (31) and the tamper-indicating closure strip (33). The tamper-indicating closure strip (33) has at least one weak point (40) arranged transversely to its circumference in order to indicate even partial detachment of the cap part (31) from the strip (33) by the two gaping apart. In this tamper-indicating closure cap with a tamper-indicating strip, even the slightest damage to it by attempting to raise the cap can easily be made visible to the customers and the inspection organisations. <IMAGE>
