PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod lens improving picture quality. SOLUTION: A base material 1 composed of a ferroelectrics having >=1.9 refractive index and translucency is arranged in an approximately columnar shape. A lens shaped part 2 is formed on an end part in the longitudinal direction of the base material 1. As the ferroelectrics, the one with a perovskite crystal structure as a principal crystalline phase is preferable. A Ba (Mg, Ta) O3 type provides an example of the one with the perovskite crystal structure. |
