PURPOSE:To enable continuous printing without providing a blank between pages, by unwinding paper in the quantity corresponding to the feed quantity of the previous process when page splicing indication has been received. CONSTITUTION:The image data of each color supplied from an external apparatus and a splicing command indicating whether the splicing of each page is performed are stored in the memory of a control apparatus. The data in the memory is read by CPU and the color printing of one page is applied to paper 1 by each of a plurality of color inks applied to a color ink film 2. Next, the paper 1 and the color ink film 2 are fed to separate the paper and the color ink film. Then, it is judged whether page splicing indication has been received from the external apparatus and, when the page splicing indication has been received, the page 1 is unwound in the quantity corresponding to the aforementioned feed quantity to start the printing of the next page. |
