PURPOSE:To enable formation of fine groove section by making a through-hole in the center of material block then machining the inner face of said hole thereafter splitting said material block to employ as the base. CONSTITUTION:At first, the upper and lower faces 18a, 18b of cylindrical ceramic 18 are surface ground. Then the circumferential face 18c of ceramic 18 is tubular ground. Furthermore, a through-hole 19 is made through electric discharge machining in the center of ceramic 18 to lap machine the inner face of said hole 19. Thereafter, at the imaginary face containing the axis of said hole 19 or the imaginary face 20 parallel with the axis 19a separated by micro length from the axis 19, the ceramic 18 is split to remove the unnecessary portion. Here, it is split through grinding. Then finish surface machining is applied onto the split face 21 of semi-cylindrical ceramic formed through said process. |
