PURPOSE:To obtain a high efficient, low cost and small fuel cell power generation system by changing an output frequency and output voltage of a frequency variable and reversible conversion apparatus in accordance with a load characteristic of a load motor. CONSTITUTION:A fuel cell 3 and a frequency variable and reversible conversion apparatus 8 which converts a DC output from fuel cell to an AC power of variable frequency and variable voltage and then supplies such AC power to a motor 9 connected as a load are provided. A frequency variable and reversible conversion apparatus 8 is formed as a variable voltage and variable frequency power supply (VVVF) which varies output frequency and output voltage and it is composed of a reversible conversion circuit 81 and a frequency control circuit 82. The reversible conversion circuit 81 reversibly converts a DC output from the fuel cell 3 into a desired frequency and voltage. Thereby the sequential conversion circuit 51 of the DC-AC conversion apparatus 4 and frequency conversion apparatus 5 is no longer necessary and power efficiency can be improved as much as a loss of such sequential conversion circuit. |
