The system has a logic controller (7) connected to a steering wheel angle sensor and a speed sensor for determining a path desired by a driver of a vehicle and determining the actual path of the vehicle. The controller determines a deviation of the actual path from the desired path and activates braking units (13, 14) of the respective wheels (3, 4) from a side opposed to an offset of the vehicle based on the determined deviation.
