PURPOSE:To assure stable discharging performance of a cell after a period of storage by specifying the size relation between the inner diameter of a positive electrode case at the bottom and the outer diameter of an air electrode which is to be inserted and fixed on the inner bottom of the positive electrode case. CONSTITUTION:Outer diameter (a) of an air electrode 4 and inner diameter (b) at the bottom of a positive electrode case 3 are made to satisfy a relation 0.01<=(b-a)<=0.08, in order to prevent deformation of an air electrode 4 after sealing a cell and to assure sufficient current collection at the air electrode 4 and the positive electrode 3. Being made in this dimensional relation, the air electrode 4 is not subject to deformation during sealing of the air button cell and secure current collection is enabled at the air electrode and the positive electrode case 3, thereby assuring stable cell performance either in initial opera tion or after storage for a loing period of time. |
