The solution according to the invention relates to minimising the thermal stress on motor shafts of electric motors during operation of units where the temperature stress is relatively high. The solution according to the invention provides for the thermal stress on motor shafts of electric motors to be minimised during operation of the units at a relatively high temperature stress by the use of a component having low thermal conductivity between the motor shaft and the unit, preferably by the use of a bush. The device will be used throughout the entire field of technology where units are operated with a relatively high temperature stress by means of an electric motor.
