A circular store for bulk material is devised which comprises a storage building, a vertical column arranged in the middle of the building, a store-charging device arranged directly below the roof of the building and a discharging device. The bulk material placed in the store is discharged by means of a chain-and-bucket excavator which can travel radially on a discharging arm which is horizontally pivotable about the central column, the chain-and-bucket ladder of the said excavator extending in a plane stretching from the central column and the discharging arm down to the floor of the store, in an inclined manner, away from the central column.
