The noise-protection wall consists of self-supporting prefabricated concrete elements (2) with plates (2a, 2b) enclosing an angle between them. By means of a connection armature (6), the elements are connected to bases (5). The wall elements can have a noise-absorbing layer (7) which is structured to form free-standing projections by intersecting grooves. The noise-protection wall is particularly convenient to manufacture and maintain and can, thanks to the surface structure of the noise-absorbing layer, have optimum noise-absorption properties. <IMAGE>
