<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a motor and to extend the life of a dry cell or the like by changing the tensil force of a belt in accordance with respective traveling loads at the constant speed traveling operation and high speed traveling operation. CONSTITUTION:The 1st capstan 11 for traveling a magnetic tape in an arrow B direction, the 2nd capstan 13 for traveling the tape in an arrow C direction, a belt 15 for transmitting the rotation of the motor 16 to the 1st and 2nd capstans 11, 13, the 1st and 2nd intermediate pulleys 17, 41 for guiding the belt 15, a rapid traverse rod 29, and a rewinding rod 34 are arranged. The 1st intermediate pulley 17, a lever 22 and a control lever 43 are arranged so that belt 15 increases its extending length interlocking with the rods 29, 34, and at the time of high speed traveling, the extending length of the belt 15 is switched so as to be increased. Consequently, the constant speed traveling operation can be executed with a low loss, the power consumption of the motor 16 can be saved, the life of a dry cell or the like can be extended, and the reliability of the motor 16 is also improved.</p> |
