<p>PURPOSE:To establish a vehicle assembly means for a mixed several kind vehicle-model assembly line system, by providing a positioning device incorporating a body side circulating storage mechanism for rotatably and slidably supporting a support fixture having a body side locking section with more than two faces. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle body assembly line has a temporarily tapping station 2 and an additionally tapping station which are arranged in the mentioned order along a conveyer path for a tacked vehicle body 3, and is provided with a skid 11 for transferring a pretacked underbody 1 to the temporarily tapping station 2 and for delivering the tacked vehicle body 3 from this station to the additionally taping station. This skid 11 is driven by a drive device 5. In order to deliver a body side 6 to an assembling position on the temporarily tapping stations 2, there is provided a circulating storage mechanism 9 for rotatably and slidably supporting a support fixture 8. Further, the conveyer paths for the underbody 1 and the body side 6 are selectively changed in accordance with kinds of vehicle models.</p> |
