PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of the assisting force characteristic for the lead characteristic by improving the response performance of a plunger by previously feeding electric current into an electromagnetic means for generating the assisting hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic servobrake apparatus is equipped with a cylinder assembly 20 for assisting the stepping power of a brake pedal 11, master-cylinder assembly 30 for generating a hydraulic pressure corresponding to the steeping power of the brake pedal 11, electromagnetic means 40 for driving the cylinder assembly 20 for assistance, and a control unit 50 for controlling the electric conduction to the electromagnetic means 40. When a brake pedal is not yet stepped-in before brake application, a constant electric current in the degree where no assisting power is generated flows into the electromagnetic means 40 from the control unit 50. When the brake pedal is stepped in this state,the electric current necessary for the movement of a plunger flows immediately, and the delay of response performance of the plunger 43 is prevented. |
