PURPOSE:To know the boundary position of originals and to set surely two originals by positioning an optical scanning means at the boundary part of two originals in stand-by mode of image forming operation, and making a user set the originals by marking said position. CONSTITUTION:A boundary line 501 is provided where the user views it from above the original platen 5 on the 1st optical unit 53, whose stop position is so controlled that the boundary line 501 meets the boundary of the two originals. When a form P of size A4 is selected, two originals 01 and 02 of size A4 are set while aligning with the boundary line 501 on the 1st optical unit 53 and a scale 502 provided at the left end part on the original platen 5. Further, when a form P of size B5 is selected, two originals 01 and 02 of size B5 are set while aligning with the boundary line 501 on the 1st optical unit 53 and the scale 502. Consequently, the boundary position of originals is made clear and two originals are set surely. |
