PURPOSE:To make high-precision correction possible by compensating absorption of emission data, which is gathered when an RI (radioisotope) is given to a body to be examined, with absorption correcting data and allowing a correction function to act to eliminate components counted simultaneously with scattering included in emission data itself. CONSTITUTION:A line ray source 3 is rotated in a detector ring 1 to gather data of simultaneous counting in the place of each step. Next, an actual body 2 to be examined is placed to gather absorption data. The ray source 3 is rotated around the body 3 to be examined to gather simultaneous counted data in the place of each step. This gathered data is compared with data of blank scan to obtain data for absorption correction. Emission data, which is gathered when the RI is given to the body 2 to be examined, is corrected with respect to absorption by absorption correcting data, and the correction function is allowed to act to eliminate components counted simultaneously with scattering included in emission data itself, thus correcting counting simultaneous with scattering with a high precision.
