As an aid for growing strawberries, a platform (1), which can be placed on the earth at a distance above it by means of supports (7) which can be pushed into the earth, for at least some of the strawberries (12) hanging on a strawberry plant (11) is provided, which has a cutout for the stems of the strawberry plant (11) and can be pushed together from two parts so that it can be assembled under the leaves (13) and the strawberries (12) around the stems of the strawberry plants (11). The edge of the cutout is formed by a flat sleeve which holds the stems bundled together with the leaves and upwards. The strawberries (12) thus receive more light. <IMAGE>
