PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of charging and discharge, by causing one of a positive and a negative electrode liquids to contain at least one of SnCl2, BiCl3 and PbCl2 to prevent the capacity of a battery from falling due to the repetition of the charging and discharge. CONSTITUTION:Since a positive and a negative electrode liquids contain both a positive and a negative electrode active materials, an electrode active material concentration gradient is hardly caused between chambers on both the sides of a dividing film, so that the electrode active materials are scarcely transferred through the diving film. As a result, the capacity of a battery is surely prevented from decreasing, even if charging and discharge are repeated. At least one of the positive and the negative electrode liquids contains at least one of SnCl2, BiCl3 and PbCl2, each of which acts to activate the electrochemical reaction on each electrode of the battery. The electrocheminal reaction is thus activated by the catalytic action of the chloride to enhance the efficiency of the battery. |
