A chopper machine with two drawing-in rollers (15; 16) which are arranged one on top of the other and run in opposite directions, in which rollers (15; 16) the intermediate spaces of the tapered drawing-in roller ribs are filled with an elastic material. The upper drawing-in roller (16) is movably arranged in a vertical guide (17) and is connected to a blocking device (18) for adjusting the distance from the lower drawing-in roller (15). The blade cutters of the individual rotor blades (4) which are arranged in a spiral shape on the rotor-blade shaft (1) are constructed so as to taper towards all four sides. In the free space remaining between the blade holders (3), ejection shovels (6) for throwing out the comminuted chopped material are arranged. In the lower region of the ejection shaft (7) a folding cover opening (11) for filling the comminuted chopped material into a container (12) which is arranged in a removable fashion is provided. <IMAGE>
