The invention relates to pipetting instruments simultaneously employing a plurality of parallel syringes, or any other means for sampling or distributing liquids. Its aim is to enable these appliances to be adapted successively to a plurality of dimensions or arrangements of the containers, or to transfer doses of liquids from one arrangement to another. It comprises one or more lateral-thrust plates, acting transversely on all or part of a set of deformable needles connected to syringes or other liquid-sampling/distributing elements, in order to modify the arrangement of the points of the needles. Among these applications, there may be mentioned the simultaneous transfer, for analysis or packaging purposes, of samples of liquids contained in tubes or bottles to smaller tubes or plates with wells. <IMAGE> |
