<p>The inlet port 6 and outlet ports 7 to the interior body cavity of a valve controlling the opening of a valve port 38 to control outlet pressure, are co-axial. The cavity is divided by a diaphragm assembly, comprising a piston assembly 15 and flexible diaphragm 11 with a control portion 42, into separate chambers 39 and 40. The assembly 15 includes an apertured member 13 defined a valve port 38. The apertured member 13 under the control of the forces acting on the diaphragm assembly is movable with respect to a fixed member 34 supported from the body by a support portion 33 to open the port. The chamber 40 is open to inlet pressure at the inlet port 6 through openings 35 in the support portion. The diaphragm 11 includes a valve balance portion 43 between the assembly 15 and a tubular portion 20 of the body.
