PURPOSE:Truly spherical particles of a polyolefin, obtained by incorporating an ultraviolet light absorber sufficiently in the polyolefin and capable of improving slip on the skin by application to cosmetics and dispersibility and production process of the ultraviolet light absorber. CONSTITUTION:1-50pts.wt., preferably 3-50pts.wt. ultraviolet light absorber, e.g. benzophenone based compound or benzotriazole based compound, is uniformly melt mixed with 100pts.wt. polyolefin, e.g. polyethylene, and the resultant polyolefin is melt stirred in the presence of an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymer expressed by the formula (x is 2-150; y is 10-90; z is 2-150) in an aqueous medium while heating and pressurizing to give an emulsion, which is then cooled to the softening point of the polyolefin containing the ultraviolet light absorber or below to afford the aimed truly fine particles of the polyolefin, containing uniformly the ultraviolet light absorber and having <=50mu average particle diameter. |
