<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit having an elongated bearing life attained by providing a sealing device capable of maintaining the sealing performance uniformly for a long period and capable of being manufactured at low cost with avoding contamination to the surrounding environment when manufacturing the bearing. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing unit has the rolling element 8 interposed between an inner race equivalent member 16 and an outer race equivalent member 2 and the sealing device 10a which seals the inside of the bearing from the outside of the bearing, and the sealing device has the slinger 42 which is fitted and fixed to the inner race circumferential face 16m of the inner race equivalent member and the encoder 36 attached to the slinger. While an adhesive bond is applied to the inner diameter face M3 of the slinger for the whole circumference and the chamfered part 16R which is connected from the outer circumference face of the inner race and continued with the predetermined gradient angle towards the bearing exterior in the circumferential rim of the bearing exterior among the outer circumference face of the inner race, at least the connected area Mr of the chamfered part with the circumferential face of the inner race constitutes in the shape of a smooth curved face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
