发明名称 WEAR-RESISTANT ALLOY HAVING HIGH MAGNETIC PERMEABILITY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled inexpensive alloy having superior wear resistance, high effective permeability and high saturation magnetic flux density by specifying a composition consisting of Si, Al, C, W and Fe. CONSTITUTION:This wear-resistant alloy having high magnetic permeability consists of, by weight, 6-11% Si, 4-8% Al, 0.01-0.5% C, 0.02-1.0% W and the balance Fe. When the alloy is used as the material of the core of a magnetic head, strong leakage magnetic flux is provided even in case of a narrow gap, and the core can be obtd. at a low cost because no noble metal is contained. When the amounts of Si and Al are below the lower limits or above the upper limits, the magnetic characteristics, especially the effective permeability are remarkably deteriorated. When the amounts of C and W are below the lower limits, C and W are not well effective in improving the wear resistance, and when the amounts of C and W are above the upper limits, the effective permeability is reduced.
