PURPOSE:To restrain fogging during raw storage by incorporating a polymer obtained from a specified monomer in a photographic constituent layer as a stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide photographic sensitive material can be restrained from fogging during raw storage and deterioration of the gamma value by incorporating in one or more of its constituent layers as a stabilizer the homopolymer or copolymer composed of a monomer unit represented by formula I in which R1 is H, Cl, or lower alkyl; J is a divalent bonding group; and A is an atomic group necessary to form an oxadiazole, thiadiazole, selenadiazole, or triazole ring. An especially preferable monomer unit is represented by formula II in which Z is -O-, -S-, or -NH-, and n is 0, 1, or 2. |
