A description is given of a drive and fastening arrangement for a conveyor (4; 80) for delivering rod-shaped articles (2) from an axial track (3) to a transverse track (76), which drive and fastening arrangement has fastening means (38, 40; 128) which permit adjustment of the distance and of the angle of an axis of rotation of the conveyor relative to the axial track. The arrangement is intended, in particular, for use in conveyors (4; 80) which have helical grooves (6; 82) for transferring cigarettes or filter rods (2) from the rod track (3) of a rod production machine into a carrier drum (76) moving transversely. The adjustable fastening means (34, 36; 128) allow the user of conveyors (4; 80) with different diameters and/or different thread helix angles (necessary for different rod lengths and speeds) while the thread angle is held parallel to the rod track. <IMAGE>
