The invention relates to a positioning wall for use in underground coal mining, in tunnelling or the like which is designed so as to be flexible and/or yielding in a certain way. For this purpose, the positioning wall uses several inflatable, flexible bodies (35, 40) which can be inflated by compressed air but can also be relieved again, so that the positioning wall is comparatively lightweight and, after the pressure relief of the flexible bodies, can quickly be withdrawn and put back again in a functionally correct position at a new site (Fig. 3).
