PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a magnetic head winding operation without bending a pipe-shaped object even when large force is exerted to the top end thereof during the insertion by providing the pipe-shaped object having large rigidity to the top end of a winding coil. CONSTITUTION:A winding stock provided with the pipe-shaped object is used at the top end of a coil wire and a winding window is provided between the 1st magnetic material piece and the 2nd magnetic material piece facing said piece via a gap provided therebetween. The above-mentioned winding stock is inserted into such winding window and is wound by a prescribed number of turns on the above-mentioned 1st magnetic material piece and the 2nd magnetic material piece. For example, a pipe 10 is a stainless steel pipe having 220mum outside wire diameter, 90mum wall thickness and 40mum inside diameter and is about 20mm in length. The top end part is cut diagonally to permit the easy insertion. a coil 1 having 40mum wire diameter is a copper wire and is joined to the pipe-shaped object 10. Even if the pipe 10 is held by a pincette, the pipe-shaped object has large rigidity and therefore, the deformation such as bending is obviated. The top end of the wire is thus made secure and the winding to the winding window is made easy.
