PURPOSE:To improve the machining accuracy by comparing the ambient temperature with the detected temperature of working liquid then controlling the temperature of working liquid continuously thereby uniforming the thermal deformation of work and the mechanical structure and varying relatively. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of working liquid 3 between a wire electrode 2 and a work 1 detected through a sensor 18 is compared with the ambient temperature detected through a sensor 19. When the temperature of working liquid is lower than the ambient temperature by more than specific range, the rotation of refrigerator compressor 16c is lowered through frequency conversion to reduce the refrigerating capacity. While when the temperature of working liquid is higher than the ambient temperature and the temperature difference is higher than specific range, the rotation of compressor 16c is increased to increase the refrigerating capacity. In such a manner, the temperature of working liquid is controlled continuously to uniform the thermal deformation of work and mechanical structure continuously and vary relatively thus to improve the machining accuracy considerably.
