PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for copying operation when part of an original is copied and to evade a shift in the position of an original accompanying copying operation by starting the copying operation automatically after putting an original illuminating means in operation for a specific time. CONSTITUTION:An original position confirmation switch 30 is turned on with the original 2 mounted on a platen 1 at a specific position and a form tray selection switch 32 and a copy quantity selection key 33 are operated previously. Then, a control part 50 scans a lamp carriage 10 twice and outputs a copying operation start signal to a light source 11 for exposure, a driving motor 71, and respective equipments 73 necessary to the copying operation to perform a series of copying processes. Therefore, a copy switch 31 need not be operated manually and the copying operation is performed automatically, so when an original 2, such as a thick body, which can not be held with an original cover is positioned and held by hands, an operator need not let go his or her hold of the original 2 so as to operate the copy switch 31 and positions and holds the original 2 at any time. |
