PURPOSE:To increase the rubber content and obtain the titled resin with ready recovery of the polymer, by bulk polymerization of a styrene based monomer and acrylic monomer in the presence of a powdery rubberlike diene based polymer with a high gel content. CONSTITUTION:A powdery rubberlike diene based polymer with a high gel content, e.g. produced from a latex, etc. of a homo- - copolymer consisting essentially of a conjugated diene based monomer such as 1,3-butadiene, is dispersed in a monomer consisting of at least one of styrene based monomer and acrylic monomer, e.g. acrylonitrile, and, as necessary, a polymerization initiator, e.g. benzoyl peroxide, chain transfer agent, e.g. n-octyl mercaptan, etc., are added thereto to carry out the bulk polymerization and afford the aimed polymer. |
