PURPOSE:To offer a magnetizing method, by which a medium can be precisely magnetized, by a method wherein the medium is magnetized using the magnetic heads, the gap between the points of the magnetic cores of which is smaller than that between the magnetic poles of the medium which is intended to mag netize. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor 4 is coaxially coupled with a holding jig 3 for a medium 2, which is intended to magnetize multipolarly with a slit disc 5 for optical signal generation and when the annular medium 2 is held by the holding jig 3, the medium 2 is magnetized using the magnetizer to be assembled in a constitution that magnetic heads 1 and 1' can be abutted rectangularly on the surface of the medium 2 which is intended to a magnetize. The magnetiz er is constituted in such a mechanism that when the slit disc 5 rotatingly crosses between a light-receiving element 6 and a light-emitting element 6', a current controller 7 receives signal from the slit disc 5 for optical signal generation, the interrupted current in the prescribed pulse runs on the magnetic heads 1 and 1' from the current controller 7 and the medium 2 is magnetized. The number of the magnetizing poles at this time is two times more than the number of the slits to be carved on the slit disc 5. |
