PURPOSE:To maintain temperatures in a heat-exchange circulation chamber within a range of high-and-low set temperatures, by automatically controlling the quantity of air taken into a combustion casing, detecting temperatures in the heat-exchange circulation chamber. CONSTITUTION:In a greenhouse heating, at setting fire to solid fuel A in a combustion casing 2, the temperature in a heat-exchange circulation chamber 10 is below a set temperature, whereas a switch has been changed to a break side at a signal from a temperature detecting sensor 4 to open an air intake port 19 and stop a fan 6. Combustion is continued, discharging flue gases from a flue gas heat exchanger 3 through a stack 27 to the outside, until the temperature in the heat-exchange circulation chamber 10 reaches a high set temperature, whereupon said temperature is detected by the temperature detecting sensor 4, so that the switch is changed to the connection side to close the intake port 19 and start the fan 6. Then the power of combustion begins to decline gradually, while warm air is discharged from a warm air blow-off port 9 to effect room heating. When the temperature in the heat- exchange circulation chamber reaches a low set temperature, the switch will be changed back on the signal from the temperature detecting sensor 4, to the break side, or to the initial side. After this, in the same manner as described above, heating is repeated intermittently within a range of high-and-low set temperatures.
