PURPOSE:To hold a vehicle speed signal directly before a trouble even if a vehicle speed sensor causes the trouble during high speed running by resetting the holding operation of latch circuits every N pulse electrical signals, which are generated from the vehicle speed sensor, which are counted. CONSTITUTION:A pulse electrical signal which is outputted from a vehicle speed sensor 2 is inputted into counters 8, 9 and N pulse counter 11, and the pulse number of the signal which is inputted into the counter 9 is counted while being reset in the counter every 60sec. The signal which is inputted into the counter 10 is counted while being reset every 1sec. The N pulse counter 11 outputs a H level signal to latch circuits 12 and 13 as a reset signal every N pulses which are counted. The latch circuits 12 and 13 hold and output the vehicle speed signal which is outputted from a vehicle speed memory 15 while being reset every N pulses by the reset signal which is outputted from the N pulse counter 11.
