<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing acrylic acid by gas-phase catalytic oxidation of acrolein, whereby the issue of degradation in a catalyst on a gas inlet side quicker than a catalyst on a gas outlet side is resolved and whereby high-yield production of acrylic acid is possible even if the catalyst is made to be stably used over a long period. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing acrylic acid whereby, in a method for producing acrylic acid by gas-phase catalytic oxidation of acrolein, a reaction tube is separated into two or more catalyst layers, and the catalyst is loaded from the raw gas inlet side of the reaction tube to the outlet side in the order of catalyst activity increase, and reacted. A method for adjusting the catalyst activity is characterized by changing the type of the raw material compounds so as to have the same composition of catalytically active elements, and obtaining composite metal oxides with mutually different activities, in a step for mixing a molybdenum-containing compound, a vanadium-containing compound, a copper-containing compound, and an antimony-containing compound with water and drying and sintering the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
