PURPOSE:To reproduce only one recording disk securely by providing a clamp selecting means which is associated with the moving operation of one movably arranged motor and controlling the operation of each clamp means. CONSTITUTION:When a cam plate 10 is moved as shown by an arrow A, a guide roller 22 slides on the slanting surface 10b of the cam plate 10 and a clamp arm 19 is lowered. A clamp arm 18, on the other hand, stops when its end surface 18a abuts on the locking surface 24a of a clamp selecting plate 24. This position indicates the playback state of a compact disk. Further, the cam plate 10 moves as shown by A while a swing arm 28 rotates to a position 51b, namely, while the clamp arm selecting plate 24a moves as shown by A and 25 moves as shown by B. In this state, the end surface part 19a of the clamp arm 19 stops at a position opposite to the lock part 24a and this position indicates the playback position of an optical video disk. In this state, a motor 51 for compact disks moves to a position 51b, where it does not cross the optical video disk.
