PURPOSE:To easily build in a specific gravity sensor in a battery by fitting a specific gravity sensor comprising an electrode pair of PbO2 and Pb in a space formed by cutting a part of the end plate of a plate group, and contacting the sensor to be inside plate through a porous sheet. CONSTITUTION:The upper corner of a negative end plate 2 is cut off, and a frame 10 to which electrodes 6 and 7 are fixed is inserted into the cut part, and the electrodes 6 and 7 are in contact with a positive plate 11 thorough a separator 5. A specific gravity sensor comprising electrodes 6 and 7 is easily built in a battery, and lead wires 8 and 9 are easily drawn out from the battery. By mounting the sensor in the sealed lead-acid battery, the sensor is free from noize and accurate measurement can be conducted. |
