PURPOSE:To constitute a device in a small size and in light weight and to operate with hands of an operator by not using a large and weighty gyro. CONSTITUTION:With detecting the shaking of a lens barrel 23 due to that of a video camera by angular velocity sensors 43 (panning direction) and 44 (tilting direction) and controlling a control circuit 45 to supply power to stator windings 33 and 42 in actuators 46 and 47 and to control so that outputs from the angular velocity sensors 43 and 44 become zero, the shaking of the lens barrel 23 against absolute co-ordinate is eliminated and it is possible to reduce picture shaking in horizontal and vertical directions. To carry it with hands or to turn off the preventive effect of the picture shaking, with turning on a lock switch 50, the control circuit 45 drives and controls the actuators 46 and 47 to the center of turning range (a position where the photographing axis of a camera main body and the optical axis of the lens barrel are coincided). Afterwards, the power is supplied to a motor 52 resulting the rotation of the motor 52.
