PURPOSE:To perform a scanning operation at a high speed and with high efficiency by transmitting only the process input/output data on a process input/ output card between a transmission controller and a station controller. CONSTITUTION:A sequence controller of a system for decentralized pro grammable controller is provided with an arithmetic part CPU, an OS memory work, a user memory, an input/output memory and a transmission control part. While a process input/output device consists of various process input/output cards PIO, a transmission control part and a station control part. Here these transmission and station control parts are connected to each other via a pair of cables. Then only the data on a process input/output card of each input/ output device is transmitted between the transmission control part of the sequence controller and the station control part of the process input/output device. This improves the transmission efficiency and increases the transmission speed.
