PURPOSE:To dial assuredly by informing in voices the bar codes recorded on a card like a visiting card, etc. CONSTITUTION:A changeover switch 18 is set to a record mode to record the bar codes corresponding to a telephone number on a card 7. Then the switch 18 is set at the report side, and the card 7 is put into a main body 1 through a slit 4 of an inserting part 1D. Then the bar codes are read by an optical reader 17, and the telephone number corresponding to those codes is displayed at a display part 1B. At the same time, the telephone number is announced through a speaker 6. Thus a telephone dialing operation is possible while listening to the telephone number delivered through the speaker 6. This eliminates a dialing error with telephone numbers. |
