PURPOSE:To record a digital signal in addition to an analog signal by using tracks 7-10 in a compact cassette tape. CONSTITUTION:The tracks 7-10 are added for four channel digital signals in addition to R (right) channels 3, 4 and L (left) channels 2, 5. An azimuth angle is given to a digital signal magnetic head so as not to cause crosstalk between the digital signal track and the analog signal track. In general, since the frequency of the signal on a digital signal track is sufficiently higher than the frequency of the signal on the analog signal track, the separation is made possible. Thus, the four channel digital signal tracks are attained. |
