The thermal impact stability and durability against repeated use of the crucible of the evaporating source are improved by using the nitride- oxide, nitride-carbide or the mixture composed of the nitride contg. the silicon nitride. The width of the coercive force and output fluctuation of the resultant magnetic recording medium is small and the magnetic recording medium having the uniform magnetic characteristics is produced at a high speed in a large quantity. The efficient production on an industrial scale is possible. |
