PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition capable of giving coating film of low water absorptivity and no variation in its physical properties over a wide range of temperatures, suitable for coating on glass fiber for use in light transmission, by blending a di(meth) acrylate of carbonatediol, polyureshane (meth) acrylate, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition can be obtained by blending, (A) pre. 10-40wt% of a di(meth) acrylate of carbonatediol (with an average molecular weight 500-3,000), (B) pref. 40-60wt% of a polyurethane methacrylate, (C) pref. 30-60wt% of a monothylenic unsaturated monomer [e.g., (meth)acrylate of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol epsilon-caprolactone adduct] and, if needed, (D) <=10wt% of a photopolymerization initiator (e.g., benzylmethyl ketal).
