PURPOSE:To improve the response and to prevent knocking by providing means for producing an ignition command signal on the basis of the optimal ignition lead angle fed from optimal ignition lead angle operating means and rotary angle data fed from rotary angle detecting means. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of corrected intake tube pressure calculated through correcting intake tube pressure means H and engine rotation detected through engine rotation detecting means C, optimal lead angle operating means I will operate the optimal ignition lead angle. While on the basis of the optimal ignition lead angle fed from said means I and rotary angle data fed from rotary angle detecting means B, ignition command means J will produce an ignition command signal. Consequently, the transient response is improved while knocking is prevented.
