PURPOSE:To perform the counting process of paper sheets easily and reliably in a cash sorting tabulator by conveying the specified number or less of odd papers sheets stacked on a stacking section when one transaction is completed to a binding means and binding them. CONSTITUTION:Bills P discharged in sequence from a sealing/conveying passage 18 are stacked on a carrier 22 by an impeller 19, and when the last bill P among the specified number of bills passes a detector 18a, subsequent bills are temporarily stacked on a separator 20. The specified number of bills P on the carrier 22 are conveyed to a binding section K, i.e. the subsequent process, via the shift of the carrier 22 as a movable guide 39b is rotated upward. When the carrier 22 is returned, the bills P temporarily held on the separator 20 are shifted onto the carrier 22 via its rotation, and this motion is repeated. The specified number or less of odd bills P stacked on a stacking section 21 when one transaction is completed are conveyed to the binding section K and bound, and a red stamp is put by a sealing device 74. Accordingly, the counting process can be performed reliably.
