PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to space the position of heating elements away from an end part of a substrate even when a common electrode is enlarged in width so as to reduce the voltage drop therein, by a construction wherein either the entire part or a part of a common part of a group of dot form heating elements arranged in a line in the vicinity of an end part of a substrate is disposed beneath a heat-accumulating layer. CONSTITUTION:A peripheral edge of an aluminum substrate 4 is provided with a common part 3b of a common electrode 3 in a substantially U-shaped form, and a partial glaze layer 5 is laminated thereon as the heat-accumulating layer. The layer 5 is laminated while being deviated from the edge of the common part 3b. At top part of the partial glaze layer 5, a plurality of heating elements (thin film resistors) 1 are arranged in a line at predetermined intervals. An individual part 3a is led from each of the heating elements 1, and is connected to the common part 3b.At positions opposite to the individual parts 3a, individual electrodes 2 are led out respectively from the heating elements 1, thereby connecting the elements 1 respectively to driving circuits. A protective film 7 is provided on the group of the heating elements 1 in a manner to cover the latter. |
