PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a control program by combining a descriptor indicating the structure of a list and the machine language to execute processing on the basis of the descriptor, and a central processing unit (CPU) to execute the machine language. CONSTITUTION:The titled system consists of the list 1 having a format indicating the succeeding block on the list 1 by an one-way pointer, blocks 21-23 constituting the list 1, the descriptor 4 indicating the structure of the list 1, the machine language 6 to execute the list processing using the descriptor 4, and the CPU 7 to execute the machine word 6. Information such as the address of an address area 3 to store the address of the leading block 21 on the list 1, the intra-block relative addresses of address areas 211, 221, 231 to store the addresses of the succeeding block on the list 1, the intra-block relative addresses of data areas 212, 222, 232 to store objective values at the ascending or descending arrangement of blocks, the length of the data areas, a value indicating the arranging method of the blocks at the time of registration, and a value indicating the order at the time of deletion is stored in the descriptor 4.
