PURPOSE:To obtain the toner having an excellent mold release property for a molten toner, without obtaining the aid of a silicone oil by forming a cured silicone gum layer contg. a heat-resistant agent on the outer surface of a core body and then by heat-treating it. CONSTITUTION:The cured silicone gum layer contg. the heat-resistance agent is directly or indirectly formed on the outer surface of the core body, and then, the cured silicone gum layer is heat-treated at a temp. of 400-270 deg.C for 15 min-24hrs. When the thickness of the cured silicone gum layer contg. the heat-resistant agent is too thin, the outline of the image of the toner becomes unclear. While, if the thickness of the prescribed layer is too thick, the silicone gum becomes a waste. Thus, the thickness of the prescribed layer in the heat fixing roller is preferable to be 0.25-1.5mm, and the prescribed thickness in the pressure fixing roller is preferable to be 3-10mm. When the hardness of the titled roller is too large, the outline of the toner becomes unclear, While, when the prescribed hardness is too small, the fixing of the roller against the toner and the paper becomes insufficient. Thus, the hardness of the titled roller is preferable to be 10-70.
