The invention relates to techniques for spraying/projecting covering materials. The device forming the subject of the invention is characterised in that a cavity in the form of a truncated cone flaring in the direction of the flow is produced in the inlet portion of the body 1 of the device, the flow splitter 7 being made, on the front end of the barrel 6, in the form of a cone housed in the cavity 5 of the inlet portion 3 of the body 1 and being oriented by its apex in the direction opposite the flow and the means for the passage of the powder/air mixture through the body 1 and for its triboelectrical charging consisting in a plurality of channels 8 going from the front end to the rear end of the barrel 6 and formed between the internal wall of the body 1 and the wall of the barrel 6.
